Supporting our local communities has always been a top priority for Harbridge + Cross. In the year of the COVID-19 pandemic, this support is more important than ever as we see our local neighbours struggle with isolation, depression and the uncertainty of job security.
Over the next few weeks, our Safety Department worked diligently to get the message out and promote our Toy Drive by using Toolbox talks and a special memo posted on our Safety Boards. The response has been tremendous as donations have come in by the dozens.
On October 30, 2020 the Head Office JHSC committee recommended that this year’s annual community give back focus on a toy drive for kids in need. This was met with great support from Sr. Management and on November 2 we began our Toy Drive in partnership with the CHUM CP24 Christmas Wish program.
This program was so successful that our JHSC decided in its November meeting to extend the Toy Drive for one more week. On December 10 the JHSC performed a toy count and is proud to announce that Harbridge + Cross raised 63 toys for the Christmas Wish program.
Toy Drive Program:
Start-End Date: November 2 to December 11 (extended) Participants: Harbridge + Cross staff, office and field members. Goal: Gather as many Toys possible. Drop off location: Head Office Lobby top floor.
A special thank you goes out to Nikki
Dorkin, Co-Chair JHSC and the rest of
the JHSC for their tireless efforts in
organizing this event, setting up the
display and galvanizing staff to join us in
the spirt of community give back.
Giving back is an essential part of Harbridge + Cross’s culture. “We build strong relationships”, not only in our industry but in the communities, we live and grow in. We strengthen our communities by giving back.
We thank everyone for their support and wish you and your family a Happy Holidays.
